Founded in late 2006 as one small store in New Orleans in an area that flooded during hurricane Katrina, NakedPizza (originally named World’s Healthiest Pizza) was launched as an ambitious business model that seeks to change the nutritional profile of fast food in America. By way of example, NakedPizza is demonstrating that pizza does not have to be part of the problem in our national epidemic of obesity and chronic disease, but in fact can be part of the solution.
We believe enough is enough: it’s time the 30 billion dollar pizza industry rolled up its sleeves and repositioned pizza in the way Americans want to eat. More than ever, consumers want healthy alternatives. We see the nutrition and health wave sweeping the country as an opportunity for our industry — something we call PIZZA 2.0. Those in the pizza industry who do not adapt and evolve with healthier choices will soon be left behind - as they should.

Our stores will embody the mission of NakedPizza, facilitating an excellent customer experience, efficiency of operation, and a compelling 24/7 exterior branded presence. The front and back of house are seamlessly integrated to promote function and efficiency. The construction of a NakedPizza store and operational details have been thoughtfully engineered into the design.

Robbie Vitrano is an expert in brand design for emerging businesses. He is a founder of Trumpet, a full-service branding firm recognized in the Inc. magazine 5000 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. He’s been recognized by Fast Company and Entrepreneur magazine for his work integrating marketing with venture capital and business development for industry leaders such as FreshDirect, iSeatz, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Church’s and Darden Restaurants. He is co-founder of the Idea Village, an internationally renowned entrepreneurship coalition working with organizations such as Google, the Aspen Institute, Wharton School of Business and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
Valerie Casey is a globally recognized designer and innovator. She was named a “Guru” of the year by Fortune magazine, a “Hero of the Environment” by Time magazine, and a “Master of Design” by Fast Company. Casey works with start-ups, governments, and companies all over the world on challenges ranging from creating new products and services, to transforming organizational processes and behaviors. Industry leaders like Microsoft, Samsung, Cisco, Virgin, and Johnson & Johnson, among others, have sought out her expertise to tackle their design and innovation challenges.
MASS has earned acclaim for its visionary work for breakthrough food brands including Intelligentsia Coffee’s flagship West Coast location in Venice, California, Breadbar, Lemonade and Mendocino Farms. MASS focuses on the balance of form and function, highlighted through a work process they call micro-architecture combining business vision, experience, design and materials on a detailed and intimate level.
FHA is one of the most respected foodservice architecture firms in the U.S., responsible for the design of numerous multi-unit food brands (Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hut, KFC, Dairy Queen, etc), most notably Chipotle. FHA’s focus is on elements of comfort, eye-appeal, sound control, traffic flow, work spaces, equipment safety and overall efficiency. Principal Harlan R. Faust is a member of Food Service Consultants International and a former Godfather’s Pizza multi-unit franchisee.
